Who are Those Who Dream ?

Those who dream are a pop punk/alt rock sibling duo from Perth, known for their cult-like following, genre hopping music and diy approach. They're completely independent both financially and in spirit. Currently signed to 24hundred for their merch store and destroy all lines for tour. They're pro lgbtq/blm/choice. They both were extremely artistically inclined since childhood due to having a very creative family and their dad working for tv and radio stations.
They are two years apart and have a younger sister named Ashleigh, three cats namely Sox, Tiger and SUPIES/DÜP and their late dog named Scrappy. Their extreme Peppa pig enthusiasts.
Discography
2017- Life in Cyan
This album mainly revolves around mental health. The songs are deep, heartfelt and full of emotion. The cinematography is splendid. This album is great if you're looking for a good cry. Behind the physical copy the meanings of every song is mentioned. Originally the color cyan was just a color they liked but later they integrated it as part of their message.
2019 - Violet
“Violet” is a loud and upbeat song about feeling lost and distant.
2020 - Monster
Detailing a struggle with identity and self-image, the track brings the duo into darker territory, combining driving guitars with menacing synths.
2020 - The Facility
Live performances from 'The Facility' of Violet and Monster.
2021 - DONT TALK TO ME
It's about the duality of seeming like a super confident person but actually preferring to be alone most of the time. It's about being down for so long that when you get a little taste of happiness, all you can think is "wow I wonder how long this will last"...
Also – a Rugrats reference!!!
2021 - Tension Headache
“It’s hard to trust your own thoughts when you’re depressed,” the duo say on the single. “The same brain capable of thinking rationally and wanting to get better, is also capable of extreme self-sabotage. Trying to balance this constant tug-of-war can leave you exhausted, confused and even rationalizing the bad thoughts. The soundscape is very much a representation of the lyrics; chaotic, uncertain and torn between light and dark.”
2021 - Tension Headache Retina Pack
A three track EP consisting of the Studio, Live and Acoustic version of Tension Headache.
2021 - Bubblegum
It is about a 'last straw' moment in a dumpster-fire of a relationship, where you have no choice but to cut someone toxic out of your life. A raw, unfiltered response to finally escaping an environment of constant anxiety and paranoia. There’s a certain clarity amongst the burning rage you feel, where you just go, ‘Finally this stupid-ass emotional rollercoaster is over. Goodbye! See you never!'
2022 - TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT
"We wrote this in 2015 and decided u deserved a treat so we polished it off, Josh gave it a spicy new mix and now it's YOURS to enjoy in all it's nostalgic pop punk goodness 🥰", says Those Who Dream on their SoundCloud page
2022- One Of My Kind
2023- True Sight
2023- Apology
Apology” is exactly what the name implies – I’m apologising to my past self for not allowing myself to be happy. I can see now that it’s something I don’t “need” or “not-need”… but it’s my right as a human to be able to experience all emotions and respond to them accordingly. Maybe that doesn’t make much sense to some people… but this song makes perfect sense for me. It’s a bit of closure from a darker part of my life.”
